Sense of Place

What is a sense of place? 

A sense of place is a mix of characteristics that makes a certain area special to me. Sense of place can come from relating oneself to a particular piece or type of land. Where I feel a sense of place is at the summit of hikes around Oregon. I have grown up going to my grandparent's lake cabin in the Gorge and have always loved the Pacific NW. Recently I have started to further explore some of the beautiful hikes that the PNW has to offer. Every time I reach the summit, I feel relaxed, content, and in awe of the views.  All of my sense of place photos were taken at the top of hikes around Oregon and Washington.
